Custom Logo Design for Small Businesses & Entrepreneurs

Logo & Brand Identity

Anyone can generate a logo in thirty seconds now. What that gets you is a picture. What it doesn't get you is a mark that stays readable at one inch, holds up in a single color on an invoice, comes with the file your sign shop needs, and has colors that meet contrast standards so the people who use your website can actually read it.

I've been designing brands for Pittsburgh small businesses since 2013. You work directly with me — not a queue, not a marketplace, not a template.

A logo you can actually use — on a sign, a truck, a business card, and a screen.

1.)  Tell me about your business. A short questionnaire — about ten minutes. No meeting required unless you'd like one.

2.)  I design. You'll see finished directions, not sketches, usually within a week.

3.)  You give feedback. One consolidated set of notes per round, so nothing gets lost.

4.) You get your files. Everything, organised, with instructions for using it.

Our Logo Design Process

Designing a logo is an essential step that can often be overwhelming.
To better help you understand what to expect during the logo creation,
here's our simple process in 3 easy steps:

u

1) Brief & Research

All we ask is that you answer a few questions, telling us more about your business, to really help us set the stage for creating your business image. We will then do research, taking a good look at your industry, your target market, and your competitors.

2) Conceptualize & Create

Here we sketch and visualize ideas making decisions on the possible design direction concepts based on the brief and research. We will then select promising logo design concepts and create them digitally.

o

3) Revise & Deliver

We will present the logo design concepts to you for review and feedback. After you've let us know what you think, we make any changes that may be needed. We'll deliver the final logo artwork and identity guidelines, ready to use everywhere.

“The strongest logos tell simple stories.”

—Sol Sender

We believe that getting a brand image that stands out and demands attention shouldn't cost an arm and a leg. It is your brand that is doing the hard work and your logo should always represent your brand at its best.

A dynamic and authentic logo will create an impact with your audience and be the calling card of your brand, gaining attention where-ever you decide to use it. Choose the logo package ideal for your brand needs and budget.

  • A revision round is one consolidated set of feedback, sent at once, within 7 days.
  • Fourteen days of silence pauses a project; thirty closes it. Reopening is $95.
  • Essentials is paid in full upfront; the two larger packages are 50% deposit, 50% before files release.

Already thinking about your website? Logo clients get their first three months of website maintenance at half price, or $200 credited toward a website build within the next 12 months.

Why not just use an AI logo generator?

For some businesses, that's genuinely the right call, and I'd rather tell you that than take your money. But a generated logo comes as a flat image with no source file, which means your sign shop, your embroiderer and your printer will all come back asking for something you don't have. It hasn't been checked for legibility at small sizes or in one colour. Its colours may not be readable for customers with low vision. And it may closely resemble a hundred other businesses using the same tool. What you're paying me for isn't the picture — it's the judgment about what will still work in three years, and the files that make it usable everywhere.

How many revisions do I get?

One round with Essentials, two with Brand Identity, three with Complete. A round is one set of feedback gathered together — take your time and send it all at once. Extra rounds are $95 if you need them.

Do I own the logo?

Completely, in every package, including the source files. No licensing, no ongoing fees, no restrictions.

How long does it take?

Two to three weeks for Essentials, three to four for the larger packages, assuming feedback comes back within a week.

What if I don't like any of the directions?

It's rare, because the questionnaire does a lot of work up front. If it happens, tell me and I'll show you a new direction at no charge — once. Beyond that we'd talk about whether the brief needs rethinking.

What's this about contrast and accessibility?

Colour combinations that are hard to read shut out customers with low vision — a meaningful share of any local customer base. I check every colour pairing in your brand against the strictest published standard, and I give you the numbers. Most designers don't do this. It costs you nothing extra and it's one of the few parts of brand design that has a right answer.

Not sure which one fits?

Tell me what you're building and I'll tell you honestly which package you need — including if that's the cheapest one.
